Peace for Earth’s Sake

A poem for Earth Day

I saw a picture taken from space,
It depicted the many lines
That divides us,
From state to state, nation and such,
Race, creed, religion, political beliefs.
It was a cosmic view of humanity’s fractured hues,
Boundaries drawn with the ink of pride,
Almost as if, it is a divine design.
Divisions sown so deep that the stars themselves weep,
I imagined galaxies watching our petty strife…
